I live in Australia. It’s Australia Day. On Australia Day a radio station called Triple J has a hottest 100 songs of the previous year countdown as voted by listeners through their website.

The number one song was… Gotye “Somebody That I Used To Know”

And EVERYONE IS RAGING ABOUT IT. 

I mean, for flip’s sake. Everyone is so against it but SOMEONE had to vote it in! Also, it’s a popular song. It’s been popular for a while now. It’s got mass appeal! I mean, at least this year it is a song that’s been out for a decent part of it, not just what’s freshly popular. 

It’s a /good/ song in the sense that it has an interesting film clip, the vocals are good and the lyrics are ones that most people can relate to easily. 

It’s a song. It doesn’t even matter. I’m just pissy because I don’t care and I have to hear about it from all sides about how much it sucks that the majority of people voted it as number one. SO FREAKING WHAT. 

I’m calm now.
